. john boehner tried to get his own party together. he's taken a few of the more extreme people in his party off of their committee assignments to try to get them onboard so that he can negotiate deals with the president. it's been very difficult. sometimes he'll negotiate something with the president and then his own party doesn't cooperate. i think there will be a little bit more effort especially in this first year to try to come together and get some things done. but time will tell. >> okay. if you were going to summarize, what's on his agenda for the next four years? i know that's a tall order. do your best. >> in many ways it will be a continuation because obviously he had an ambitious agenda the first term and didn't get things done. we still have troops in afghanistan. we still have guantanamo bay open. he promised to close that. there are a lot of foreign policy issues on his plate. obviously the economy continues to be a major source of trouble. and the budget. trying to get the debt ceiling increase which seems like a ritual now where we go up to the edge of that cliff and t
